Growing hydrangeas in containers
Before use, thoroughly wash and disinfect containers and pots. Then, spread a drainage layer (e.g. expanded clay or pebbles) 5 to 10 cm thick on the bottom, depending on the size of the container and the plant being transplanted. Pour a small layer of substrate on the drainage, then place the plant on it and cover it with soil. For good adhesion, the soil should be gently pressed around the plant, and then the whole thing should be watered.
Cultivation on the ground
In the hole you have dug (which should be about twice as large as the root ball of the plant you are transplanting), you should pour the bottom layer of the soil and then place the plant on it. After covering the root ball with soil, you should gently trample or tamp the soil around the plant and, if necessary, add more soil. In the last step, the plant should be watered abundantly.
