    A valuable shrub for its stunning, highly fragrant
    flowers and striking red berries, that are often borne at the
    same time as the flowers. 

    The strongly and deliciously scented flowers are semi-double, purple-pink with a cluster of golden-yellow stamens, and are borne in profusion from May to July.

    This plant makes a superb display. It can be grown as a single speciemen, or in a mixed border or simply, in a
    pot or other container.

    Rosa rugosa Exception should be pruned if necessary in late summer, after flowering has finished; take out a few of the older canes occasionally.
